The Penny Mint acknowledges the land on which we work, perform and reside: on Boonwurrung, Woiwurrung and Wathaurung Country. We extend our deepest gratitude to the elders and ancestors who have told their stories and sung their songs on this land for more than 60,000 years. We acknowledge that this land was never ceded, and no treaty has ever been reached. This always was, always will be Aboriginal land.

Our performers

Ludomyr Kemp-Mykyta is an Actor/Artist based in Melbourne who has performed on both stage and screen. Currently completing BFA Theatre at the VCA, Ludomyr has performed works in both the Midsumma and Big West Festivals, this year assisting in the development and performance of a production with Kissing Booth, Leopard Print Loincloth. He has also worked with Tajette O'Halloran modelling for a piece in her In Australia series.

Ella Ferris is a First Nations artist from Cairns, Queensland, based in Melbourne. Inspired by the tones and lyricism of artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Nicks, Julia Jacklin and Marlon Williams, Ella's vocals are earthy and soulful.

Zadie Mccracken is a writer, performer and creative producer. Most of her work explores social life and cultural performativity. In addition to her practice, Zadie likes to-do lists, personality tests, glitter and television.

Eiddwen Jeffery is a writer from the eastern suburbs, and can be seen on The Penny Mint co-authoring the Tidbit series. In her own words, "I put words on paper hoping that if I arrange them in new orders they may create something spectacular. I have a soft spot for political satire and Australia's greatest News commentary show The Roast, which was untimely cut from the ABC budget.  I like bees and everything green."

Mia Boonen, Jake Stevens and Ella Crowley

Mia Boonen is a writer, theatre maker, educator and performer currently studying at the Victorian College of the Arts.

Ella Crowley is a performer, director, writer and an all-round arts-loving person! She likes to write half-poems in her notes app and make short films.
